Can I change a course once I have registered?
Yes. We feel strongly that different homeschool students have different learning styles that cannot be accurately described by homeschool grade levels. Our grades are based on an average performance level. Christian homeschool parents are free to try out a course and have 30 days to switch. There is a $25 fee to change and add courses, but dropping courses is free.
Does The Grace Academy adhere to any specific denomination?
Our Christian homeschool curriculum is Biblically-based. We try to meet the needs of all mainline Christian denominations by providing thoroughly-Christian principles that should not raise red flags for any specific denomination. Please see our Statement of Faith, for more information.
What makes the Grace Academy unique?
The Grace Academy homeschool provides Christian homeschool students with skilled Academic Counselors who assist in the teaching process. We provide lesson plans, schedules, assignments, tests, quizzes, portfolios, and so much more. Our courses are available 24/7 throughout the year. Homeschool students can work at their own pace from September through June. It’s a completely customizable Christian homeschool curriculum.
Is the Grace Academy a licensed or accredited school?
The Grace Academy homeschool is accredited through the National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance. Christian homeschool parents who enroll in The Grace Academy homeschool are encouraged to look into their local homeschooling laws for oversight. This gives the parent the freedom to pick and choose additions and subtractions to the program and offers the most customization available in an online home education setting.
If we don’t like online learning, are we committed to the entire enrollment year?
The only way for Christian homeschool parents to know if The Grace Academy homeschool is right for them is to give it a try. That’s why we give Christian homeschool parents a 30-day trial period from the day of enrollment. Homeschool families are only obligated to the first tuition payment, registration fee, and shipping and handling. Those who withdraw after the first month must pay the full year’s tuition payments.
What are the convictions of the Grace Academy?
We believe that it is our mission to further the cause of Christ by spreading his love and teaching throughout the nations. We do this by providing a quality Christian homeschool education that will teach homeschooler more than reading, writing, and arithmetic. The Grace Academy homeschoolers are also encouraged to develop their Christian faith and moral strength as they grow. We try to build a strong moral, spiritual, and academic foundation in the minds and hearts of our homeschool students. Online home education provides Christian homeschool students with the opportunity to learn a worldview that lines up with Scriptural truth. Furthermore, we believe that Christian homeschool parents should have ultimate authority over what their homeschoolers learn.
What is your statement of faith?
The Grace Academy homeschool staff believes that the Bible is the perfect and inspired word of God and should be looked to for answers to every moral question. We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of our sins and that one must seek his redemptive power by confessing one’s sins and declaring Him to be Lord over all. The Grace Academy homeschool believes that man is born in sin and can only hope to achieve salvation through accepting the gift of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice on the cross. We believe that Christ rose from the dead after three days in the tomb. We look forward to his immanent return and the rapture of His people to heaven and the judgment of unbelievers to everlasting punishment.
What is the parent's role?
With The Grace Academy online home education program, Christian homeschool parents act more as facilitators, motivators, and supervisors than as teachers. We have taken much of the “busy work” elements out of homeschooling and providing Christian homeschool parents with a time-saving package of homeschool educational solutions. Homeschoolers can do most of their work with little direction from Christian homeschool parents. Our Christian Academic Counselors are ready to answer your homeschooler’s question in just a few moments during weekdays. The Grace Academy online home education program allows homeschool parents to be parents.
