Are the costs of materials included in the tuition?
There are several costs that our homeschool families incur upon enrollment. There is a shipping and handling fee, a one-time registration fee, and a $7.95 rental fee for all multimedia CD’s. All fees are listed in their entirety at our Tuition page. To pinpoint how much you’ll be paying on our multimedia CD’s, just click the appropriate grade level on the “Courses” drop-down menu. Click on the classes listed to find out how many CD’s you’ll need to buy for each course. Some courses do not require the purchase of CD’s, others require several. It depends on the individual course. The average number of CD’s in our online home education courses is four.
 
When will we receive our materials?
You’ll receive all of your materials before the beginning of the learning year. Some materials are not needed until later in the year. In some cases, we’ll ship your online home education curriculum materials on an “as-needed” basis.
 
What is the curriculum like? Does Grace supply eBooks, CDs, CD-ROMs, workbooks and other items?

Our Christian homeschool curriculum is Biblically-based. Using cutting-edge multimedia technology, we are able to provide homeschool students with an educational experience that is simultaneously entertaining, engaging, challenging, and enriching. It is designed to run on a variety of internet speeds and computer system specifications. In other words, there’s no need to run out and buy a pricey new computer or set up a high-speed internet connection for our online home education program, although these are obviously preferred.

The Christian homeschool curriculum is not only online material. We also include traditional textbooks and workbooks, CD-ROMS, videos, and audio lessons. To see what you get for each individual course, click on “Courses” and choose the appropriate grade level. Then click on the individual courses about which you wish to learn more.
 
What is included when we enroll?

When you enroll, you receive access to everything described in this website. Every Christian homeschool student who enrolls receives the same level of care and access. All courses include offline supplemental materials like workbooks or CD’s. There are a few exceptions to this rule, and you can find individual information about each course by clicking on “Courses” above and selecting the appropriate grade level.

Everything described in The Grace Academy homeschool website is included when you enroll. We do not have different levels of enrollment; every homeschool student who enrolls receives everything we offer. Our Christian homeschool students are given a complete package that includes everything they need to succeed in an online home education environment.

What academic resources and features are included?
The Grace Academy homeschool provides homeschool students will access to all online home education courses, course materials, access to our Social Center, all tests, quizzes, progress reports, portfolios, projects, instant help from our Academic Counselors, and so much more. The Grace Academy Christian homeschool is committed to providing online home education solutions for homeschooling families. We give you everything you need upon enrollment.
 
Are there books or materials that I need to purchase and where can I find them?

Homeschool parents must purchase a few items independent of The Grace Academy. These items are marked clearly in our course catalog and can be purchased at any time before or during your school year. To find out more about what you need for each individual course, access our course catalog by clicking “Courses” above and choosing the appropriate homeschool grade level. All supplemental materials that you will need to purchase for our online home education program are clearly laid out.

Many courses come with CDs with essential audio and video that your homeschool student will need to complete the courses. We must charge a $7.95 per CD Usage Fee in addition to the tuition costs. Unless you are dropping a course, the CD’s are yours to keep. The average amount of CD’s per course is four, but this number varies widely.

How is my homeschooler placed in a course?

Homeschool parents are free to select appropriate courses. Feel free to select different grade levels for different courses. For instance, if your homeschooler is an accelerated learner in math but struggles in reading, you can enroll the homeschooler in 4 th Grade Science and 6 th Grade Math. The customization is up to you. If you think your homeschooler can handle a tougher course load or is finding the coursework to be a bit too challenging, homeschool parents can feel free to switch courses. There is a $25 fee for switching and adding courses, but dropping a course altogether comes with no extra charge. Our online home education program is designed to be as flexible as possible.
 
What is the policy for a high school homeschool student graduating from the academy?
High school homeschool students who complete our graduation requirements may graduate under the provisions of your states homeschool laws. You can choose to work with a local private school or work with a homeschooling umbrella organization to acquire an official diploma. We are unable to offer diplomas due to the level of freedom and customization that we give Christian homeschool parents in The Grace Academy. Homeschool students who wish to receive a diploma are free to transfer into The MorningStar Academy, where they can earn an official high school diploma. Do you have minimum standards for courses and instructional time?
Homeschool students have access to our online home education courses through 180 days of instruction and 300 days of access to our academy. Courses may be accessed at any time, day or night, weekdays and weekends, from September through June. The Grace Academy homeschool offers 140 homeschool courses to choose from. Your homeschool student’s “attendance” is logged automatically when they sign into their homeroom page.
